Blessings
Blessings are earned ICly through a series of requirements that are listed below. These are gained over time and do not have to relate to the character's birth star. Blessings grant additional privileges that exceed perks. Be warned, however, as breaking a star's trust and defying its nature will lead to being cursed.
Obtaining a Blessing
In order to obtain a blessing, you most follow 6 steps:

1. Complete Level 1 Tasks
2. Purchase Cut Scene item from the shop, write a 500+ word cut scene for yourself, post a level up request in updates
3. Complete Level 2 Tasks
4. Purchase Cut Scene item from the shop, write a 500+ word cut scene for yourself, post a level up request in updates
5. Complete Level 3 Tasks
6. Purchase Cut Scene item from the shop, write a 500+ word cut scene for yourself, post a level up request in updates

Congratulations! The blessing is now yours!

Every season after obtaining your blessing, you will have to complete a Faith Check. This Faith Check is designed to determine how faithful you are to the patron that you have chosen to follow—or how closely your choices align with the stars that watch over you secretly. If you fail your Faith Check, you will be cursed until you complete a Redemption Task.

Cut Scenes are dreams and events that serve to introduce your character to the native star that is beginning to take an interest in your wolf. Cut Scenes get progressively more obvious and overt after each level, but your character never has to believe in the stars and may wave away the strange scenarios on a myriad of external factors that exclude divinity. Cuts Scenes consist of 1 post from your character that engages with a scenario of your choosing that relates to your chosen star. The post must be 500+ words and should serve as an entrance and exit. Always be sure to link to and label your completed tasks at the bottom.

Redemption Tasks are singular tasks of intermediate difficulty. Once completed, you purchase a Cut Scene event, finish the Cut Scene, and you are subsequently purified of your curse. Cursed wolves cannot cleanse their blessings with the Cleanse Blessing item in the shop, and they cannot be blessed by another star.

THREADS MUST ALL BE COMPLETE and must have AT LEAST 5 POSTS from your character to count. Once a thread has been used to fulfill a requirement it cannot be used again. If one of your threads does not hit 5 posts but you would like to use it, you can use TWO COMPLETE THREADS with post counts less than 5 to fulfill the same requirement. Note: the cumulative posts across both threads must at least be 5 from your character.

Levels
Levels are designed to go up in difficulty steadily, though each user will find some requirements more difficult than others. Tasks can be completed in any order ICly. There are two types of requirements, objective tasks and subjective tasks.

Objective tasks require you to complete a specific task such as meeting 15 wolves. These tasks require as many threads as you need to complete them. Objective tasks are marked with an [O].

Subjective tasks require you to complete something that is open to interpretation such as fall in love or survive a greivous wound. These tasks require at least 1 thread for Level 1, 2 threads for Level 2, and 3 threads for Level 3. Subjective tasks are marked with an [S].

Blessings
Mother
Benefits
+ One's discernment of truth heightens and the stars speak with greater clarity. A wolf's sign can be discerned by studying their face alone and eye contact is no longer needed
+ 2 living pups guaranteed
+ Can determine the recessive genes of all her pups regardless of rolls
Level 1
+ [S] Overcome a personal hardship

+ [S] Help another wolf

Level 2
+ [S] Survive a grievous wound

+ [S] Mentor a child

Level 3
+ [O] Have a litter

+ [O] Complete 20 Threads

Curse
Automatic additional 30% stillbirth percentage (in addition to normal stillbirth probabilities) and you are unable to care for more than two pups at a time. The character suffers from general health problems, loses weight, and any attempts to heal their affliction are unsuccessful.

Father
Benefits
-2 threads for pack requirements needed
+ In raids: gain +3 to damage rolls
+ Can reject a rank challenge once per year --> the leader cannot be challenged for one season
Level 1
+ [S] Mediate an argument
+ [S] Protect another wolf
Level 2
+ [O] Win 5 judged fights
+ [S] Debate with another wolf
Level 3
+ [O] Achieve a high rank in a pack
+ [O] Lead a group hunt (3+ wolves)
Curse
The Father’s curse will cause the offender to seem untrustworthy to those that they meet, and they will lose the ability to hold a high rank/create a pack. If you are your pack’s only alpha, it gets inherited by the next highest ranking wolf.

Maiden
Benefits
+ If they meet a spirit, they can see how they died
+ In her transition to bring new life into the world, she has the ability to re-roll her litter size once for free
+ Wolves with this blessing are perceived as pure and trustworthy. They are able to save the life of another in a raid
Level 1
+ [O]Learn of, or talk about, the star signs with a native (if outsider) - or - Talk about the stars with an outsider (if native)
+ [S] Share a tender moment with another wolf
Level 2
+ [S] Have an aspect of innocence challenged
+ [O] Befriend 15 wolves (max 2 wolves counted per thread)
Level 3
+ [O] Witness another wolf’s death
+ [S] Fall in love
Curse
The Maiden’s curse only allows a maximum of one pup in a litter and causes the character to be unable to sleep beneath the stars or else nightmares will plague them and keep them from a restful sleep. Their general sense of distraction and weariness will cause them to be more easily influenced by others.

Crone
Benefits
+ Ability to talk to the dead once a season
+ She is the master of her own fate -- parents may choose the constellations of all pups in their litter
+ Those with the Crone’s blessing may move secretively in a thread to all but fade from sight, sound, hearing, and smell to become undetectable. There is no time limit on how many rounds your character may stay, and success is automatic in all territories
Level 1
+ [O] Learn of, or talk about, the star signs with a native (if outsider) - or - Talk about the stars with an outsider (if native)
+ [S] Share a difficult truth
Level 2
+ [O] Meet 20 Wolves (max 2 wolves counted per thread)
+ [S] Gather information about another wolf
Level 3
+ [O] Trespass on pack territory
+ [O] Remain undetected for 9 cumulative posts
Curse
No longer able to have private threads, and lose the ability to move secretly and quietly. As such, they have difficulty hunting, and are prone to clumsy trips and falls quite often.

Twins
Benefits
+ The Twins value freedom and diversity. Wolves with this perk can freely customize up to two pups in a litter (mutations included)
+ Once per raid, wolves with this blessing may opt to re-roll any damage or attack result
+ Twins are incredibly lucky. Critical failures become happy accidents and you deal 3 damage to your opponent
Level 1
+ [O] Join a pack and stay for a full season
+ [O] Participate in a group hunt (3+ wolves)
Level 2
+ [S] Help another wolf out of trouble
+ [S] Find a “partner in crime”
Level 3
+ [O] Complete a thread in each region
+ [S] Devise and complete a heist
Curse
Those with The Twins’ curse will wander Cyrileth feeling as though they are missing something. They will never feel content, and will find it hard to give their loyalty to any group or pack. Their lack of focus will give a permanent -3 in all raid/event rolls.

Rivalry
Benefits
+ In raids: attacks 5 damage and below do nothing to you
+ With their intense focus, these wolves are said to have a tenacity that rivals the stars above and through sheer force of willpower may re-roll the colors and constellations of an entire litter once
+ Wolves with this blessing derive strength from struggle and thrive off the adrenaline rush of combat. Once per raid, they may heal +10hp
Level 1
+ [O] Spill blood, yours or another wolf’s, in the Poppy Meadows
+ [O] Start a brawl
Level 2
+ [S] Start a lasting feud with another character
+ [S] Demonstrate tenacity in achieving a goal
Level 3
+ [O] Be scarred in a raid
+ [O] Participate in 10 judged fights
Curse
Any and all that you meet might find themselves feeling antagonized by your presence to the point of rage. The constant want of others to cause you harm leaves you at a disadvantage in fights and awards opponents one point against you in judging.

Fool
Benefits
+ Charming, these wolves make friends and find mates more easily. They are required to complete only 2 threads for breeding, as opposed to the usual 3
+ Resourceful and capricious, characters with this blessing can escape any fight thread without repercussions. This blessing trumps the Rivalry perk
+ Fortune favors the brave. Characters with this blessing are awarded one extra luck roll in judged combat - though the odds are the same as any other luck roll
Level 1
+ [S] Experience failure
+ [S] Ignore another’s warning
Level 2
+ [O] Meet 15 wolves (max 2 wolves counted per thread)
+ [O] Flee from battle
Level 3
+ [O] Risk death once in a raid
+ [O] Trespass on pack territory
Curse
Wolves see you for who really are - and they do not like what they see. Friends turn their backs on you, and new acquaintances find you distasteful. All recessives are wiped from the character’s gene tag and must be purchased separately from the shop if you wish to have them restored.

Bear
Benefits
+ The Bear is at its strongest when turned to the defense of another. +2 is added to fight judging when those with this blessing are protecting another character
+ In raids: -3 to all damage received
+ Bears heal much faster than usual, and their pain tolerance is also increased. They do not scar or cripple in a raid if their HP reaches 10 or below.

Level 1
+ [S] Protect another wolf
+ [S] Endanger another wolf
Level 2
+ [O] Lose 3 judged fights
+ [O] Start a brawl
Level 3
+ [O] Win 5 judged fights
+ [O] Participate in 5 raids
Curse
War and all its accoutrements have turned against you. Old injuries constantly plague the character, and new injuries have a tendency to linger. Opponents in war and raids receive a +3 against you in combat, and opponents in a judged fight can also opt for an extra luck roll.

Eldritch Tree
Benefits
+ The Eldritch Tree is a soothsayer, a prophet. Characters with this blessing can save any character's life, even their own, once per raid
+ The Eldritch Tree is a protector of all, especially those less fortunate or deemed misfits in the world. In a raid, no one on their team may be critically hit
+ Wolves with this blessing have a naturally peaceful, calming effect on those around them. Other wolves are more agreeable in their presence, and negotiations/arguments more easily solved. They can divert a war once per year. The pack cannot be attacked until the next season
Level 1
+ [S] Provide comfort to another
+ [S] Mediate an argument
Level 2
+ [O] Befriend 10 wolves (max 2 wolves counted per thread)
+ [O] Start a family of 3+ wolves
Level 2
+ [S] Lose someone close to you
+ [S] Sacrifice yourself or your interests for another
Curse
Nightmares plague the character forevermore, and walking on the Red Wood’s ground gives them vivid day-terrors. The roots of the Eldritch sap your life force; you may live only to a maximum of 9 years old, and begin showing physical signs of age far earlier.

Shadow
Benefits
+ You win at least one luck round in a judged fight
+ Gain a +2 instead of +1 when a skill is stronger in combat
+ The Shadow represents the unknown. Wolves with this blessing gain the ability to detect lies from another character once per thread
Level 1
+ [S] Witness tragedy
+ [S] Abandon another
Level 2
+ [S] Break a promise
+ [O] Complete 10 threads
Level 3
+ [O] Witness death, crippling, or scarring in a raid
+ [O] Win at least 2 luck rolls in a judged fight
Curse
Others immediately find your words untrustworthy. Your promises mean nothing, and your fellows discount your skills. Just as your words fall short in convincing others of your authenticity, so too shall your luck fall short -- you lose every luck round in the fight thread.
