The night could easily be Pain's favorite time of the day, undertake the mantle of Night she could use her black coat in advantage. She could practically disappear, only her silver eyes betraying her, but for hunting, it was the best weapon she could use. And this cool night, the pitch black female wanted to hunt something before going to sleep to her den. After several days deciding, she chose this forest for her stance, no one seemed to come here and there were plenty of hiding spots and prey. And the water wasn't too far, so for now, this was the place she would live in.

She now knew the land's name, but it was the name of the whole continent. But the woods didn't. But for simplistic's sake, she would call it Pinewoods, as the majority of its terrain was crowned in pines. But leaving that to a side, she navigated through the shadows, being a sister silent as possible. Her sharp nose helped her to navigate, aiming to track a potential target. Anything was fine, Pain wasn't picky, anything enough to sustain her for the night was okay. And as she moved, she detected the scent of blood. It was intensely, and what she could tell it was some meters away. Heads north and starts to drive herself In predatory mode.

The forest beckoned her, drawing her in deeper and deeper. The hunger pangs grew with every passing hour, even snakes had to eat every once in a while. With weathered stealth and open eyes, the russet serpent hunkered down low to the ground, her body keeping to the shadows. It was times like these in which she almost wished for an onyx backdrop rather than the multihues she was blessed with. Amelia tracked some small rabbit prints which lead into a hole, but it was to no avail. They were tucked away in their burrow, so she would have to move onto something else. It was not long until she caught the metallic perfume of blood, it lingered heavily in the air. Drawn to it, Amelia shifted her course of direction, swiftly heading toward the source.

But that was not the only thing within the atmosphere, paired with it was the scent of a wolf. Female, by the aroma. Ah, finally, another lady to speak with. Amelia’s dark eyes took to scanning the woodwork to see if she could spot the lass, but it was only a flash of eyes that could be seen. Another dark as night wolf, one in which the shadows kept tucked warmly in their grasp.
”hello there!”
Amelia called out to her, beckoning for the company. Perhaps the two could hunt together. Miss Detherage would play her games as usual, but she could not deny that she would really enjoy today- with another lady.

Pain kept heading toward the scent's origin, feeling her nostrils bathed in the blood's fragrance her ears were perked in awareness, steps came as silent as an owl, feeling the urge to find whatever it was quicker. And it would require her to move faster, but she didn't want to do noises, it could bring unwanted visits. And soon she spotted a dead deer, with blood surrounding it, unsure about it approaches in silence with curiosity and hunger pushing he forward, but she still moves in silence. But before she could get any closer, a voice surprised her at the point of making her moves stop for a brief time. Turns her head, and she could see a wolf. Staring at her with a smile. Her silver eyes, glared at the wolf not leaving her natural cold expression. She rose her head to her full height and stares straight to them. "Hello." She answered shortly not wanting to have anything to do with them.

At this point, it became normal for her to be meeting strangers here, the wolf in front of her was the third she met during her first weeks living in Cyralet. But she still didn't want to actively seek other's company, Pain preferred loneliness. She didn't see good things coming with this kind of situations, only potential threats.

And there the desire to look for food somewhere else collected on her chest, she didn't want to interact, she wanted to return to her solitary life, she wanted to live away from the radar, hidden from other's eyes. She didn't care if she was seen as a freak or selfish woman, it was her life, a life she wished to stay in.

Amelia
The abyssal woman before her was much larger in both height and weight, but rarely did this deter Amelia in any way. The woman stood upright, a simple hello in response. The expression upon her pitch face was icy cold, so frigid it could send a shiver through Amelia’s body. But where she was offered ice, Amelia returned fire. An ember to the frostbite, she let her smile remain, approaching in such a way to allow the downed carcass separate the pair of them.
"Apologies. Was this your kill?"
Was she imposing? Was this the great woman’s dinner and Miss Detherage was taking her peace away? Had she been a better wolf, she’d feel a pang of guilt. Instead, Amelia wondered how great of a pawn this opposing could make. A cold woman of sheer size, what could she do for Amelia? Her mind churned with the sheer possibilities.
"My name is Amelia."
The russet serpent then nodded softly, exuding a compassionate aura of false pretenses. Her hungry eyes scoured over the slain deer but dared not touch it in case it was in fact the other woman’s prize. Amelia was not keen on ruining her chances for a useful pawn, so she kept to the respectful type of distance. In a quite, patient manner, Amelia waited her response.

Metallic eyes remained firmly placed upon the other's image, watching any move, any expression that could come. Each person she met, could bring danger, harm, and Pain wasn't ready to face that again, she was done at this point and if walking away was the correct path she didn't mind doing so. They may see her as a coward but she didn't care. And there, she had to tread carefully, being aware of the contrary's moves and words.

She observed as they approached, using the carcass to divide them. "Apologies. Was this your kill?" "No." She replied in the same cold way as the last one. "I just found it...You can have it..." She said. She did not because she cared for them, she did so she could go away and find something else. Pain wasn't picky with her food, anything was fine. She didn't know what was with the woman, but her natural distrust made her cautious around them. She must not tell anything beyond short responses, she had to be mindful with what she would share and what not.

"My name is Amelia." She nodded slowly in response. "Pai" She didn't feel comfortable with sharing her real name, not this time. That way fewer people will know about her. She wanted to be unknown, to be inexistent. She hoped these were the last words from them, so she could return to her own affairs, return to her real life, a life of being away from the society, away from trouble.

Amelia Detherage
The abyssal woman before her was cold, calculating even. She gave off an aura of frostbitten residue, Amelia could almost shiver because of it. But where this Pai remained standoffish, as immovable as stone, Amelia remained as an ember. A flicker of a flame, the warmth which melts ice. She offered another smile, emerald eyes beginning to squint ever so slightly. Amelia was a patient serpent, and so she would remain ever calm, cool, collected.
"You’re not hungry? Surely we could share it."
Like a snake which hides from its prey till it came to them, Amelia lightly prodded the woman. It’ll take some time, especially with those who resist her, but sooner or later - Amelia always got what she wanted.
"So distant, so cold. Tell me, what’s happened to you?"
The russet serpent then took on the motherly aura, moving around the corpse in order to inch closer to Pai. She acted as a concerned matriarch, hoping to soothe any pain the girl may have endured. Once around the downed deer, she took a seat, politely, patiently, quietly waiting for the girl to respond in any way that she might. Amelia was ready for mostly anything.
