The day had succumbed to the night once more and Vasilica found herself ready to take it by the horns. She had slept well, not being bothered by anyone, and her body was responding properly to the nutrition. Her body was not as emaciated as it had been, but her ribs were still noted against the golden part of her fur and her collar bone was obvious to anyone who looked hard enough. She was on the mend, but she wasn't there yet.

Her stomach began to growl and she shushed it with a pat of her front paw and a gentle soothing voice that was quite weird coming from her. "Soon, darling, soon," she said, Romanian accent dancing around her words to help calm her belly's aches. Looking up from where she stood, she sniffed the air and soon set off for God-knows-what, a mission on her mind (to live) setting the path for what the night would provide. Lord help anyone who crossed her path and didn't know who she was.

The close pressing pines perfumed the air with their sap, reminding the flame-touched woman of home. There was a bitter ache in her chest as she wound her way between the towering behemoths, and her expression was forlorn as she took in her surroundings. Something about the sweet earthy musk took her back to her childhood, romping and wrestling among the pine needles, and she felt younger than she had in years. It was dark and the moonlight fought its way pitifully down through the canopy, yet somehow she almost seemed to know her way around. She was seldom more at home than she was in the forest, or near the sea. She felt nostalgic to a point, homesick even, yet she was determined to make this land her home now. A limp rabbit hung from her jaws, its blood a warm tang upon her tongue, as she had only just managed to snatch the quick little bugger up. She was hungry, but truly not so hungry that she felt compelled to stop and eat right away.

If there was one thing that remained ever true about Eydis, it was that she seldom went hungry. Her sturdy build and the rolling muscles beneath her pelt made that abundantly clear. Suddenly, a soft voice reached her ears and she froze, two-toned eyes scanning her surroundings until they fell upon a girl carved of gilt and twilight. She was a far cry younger than herself, and even in the dim evening light it was evident that the girl was sickeningly underweight. Eydis frowned around her quarry and took several bold steps forward until she was within earshot of the stranger. "You look a meatless evening away from deaths doorstep, girl... Care to share my kill?" she called out as she set the rabbit at her paws. Her voice was gruff, but warm - and her expression was carved into a beaming smile as she cocked her head at the pretty young thing.

VASILICA SAXE

She had not considered running into another individual when she went out for her hunt. Her black paws were eager to trek the terrain and her mind was too focused on everything that was out there to take for herself. The Pine Forest had become her temporary haven and because of that, she had become familiar with the paths that were unseen, yet made. Lithe (currently) frame was at a brisk jog as scents came to her like bugs, her nose absorbing each one with renewed vigor for the kill. Blood lust was something she could not explain, but when it came to finding her prey, she revered in the feeling.

Alas, the chances of slaying an unlucky rabbit or fawn were diminished when she heard the voice of a stranger. Her body skidded to a halt, causing dirt and dust to rise and fall around her black and gold frame. By the time everything had settled, Vasilica was standing tall and firm, despite the parts of her that were slightly emaciated than the rest. Violet eyes settled upon the source of the voice and her defenses were ready to rise. It wasn't until the offer within those words reached her brain, did her defenses cease from their actions. She watched in silence as the woman placed the rabbit at her paws and watched her with a smile, one bright enough to create a beam in the surrounding shadows. It was out-of-the-blue and totally random...Vasilica secretly enjoyed such moments.

Her gaze rose from the rabbit to the woman's own opts and her tail started to wag silently behind her. At first, she was stunned; she didn't know what to say. After a few seconds, she thought about it and nodded, returning a smile that felt foreign, but good at the same time. "Yes..." she said, her voice hoarse from lack of use, but encouraging nonetheless. "That would be...nice, thank you." She took a few steps towards the female, feeling her aura and wondering where she had come from. "There is a...perch or two that's fit for such a meal," she admitted, ears perking at her own cryptic offer to the woman. After all, why not enjoy a meal and have a great view, too?

"speech."
