The beast could feel himself losing whatever was left of his mind. Suppressing the thoughts of savoring the tiny bits of feelings left that lied within the males cold heart. But as if he knew within moments and moments it was fading, having entirely nothing left to feel but the anger and emptiness that shrivels up his chest and rots in his stomach. Days would come and pass as he would glare into the abyss with his uneven vision, hoping maybe he would finally be able to know what it was like to feel the presence of his family again. What it would be like to know his father was proud of him, of this littlest things he had done. The Vasiliev family was nothing but honor, he had to ruin that with his pure anger that wrecked his soul after their murder. Years and years that left him pondering, should he continue down this path or try to fix all the damage he had done?

But the beast felt nothing left, he truly was just a monster. Returning to his home, the pine forest, where the trees hung high and hugged close. The sun had been setting, darkness was taking a toll and grasping the earth. His bright crimson eyes scanned his surroundings, taking slow steps as he prowls like a predator pass trees and debris. His breathing was light, before he came a halt. Bringing his head slightly higher above his shoulders to scan what was going on around him. As noise begun to pick up, the birds that hung in the trees became alarmed. Some by him, some further away by something else, a scent wasn't picked up yet, causing his nose to started moving same as his legs. As the golden glow washes over and peaks through the thick oak trees. Kassian longs for the birds warning, but he wasn't intimidated, more like intrigued.

When Kassian took a step around an oak tree, he came to a halt a few feet away from his past victim. A smirk spreads across his face, it had him all lured in. The beast couldn't help himself but to spread his lips into a grin, his yellow tinted teeth baring toward her. A chuckle escapes from his throat and out loud like a twisted villain. Taking a step closer toward her, waiting for an emotion to appear onto her face, feeling nothing but that burning pit in his chest once again. Kassian speaks out loud, "It's great to see you again." His voice hoarse and rough, he almost dared to speak again. But he wanted to let her speak, to let her fear spill before her.

It had been months and yet every time she set foot in the forest she felt her wounds reopen. No marks had been made. No bones had been broken. Still, she felt as if she'd been beaten and battered to near death. She didn't know how to heal her mind, so she tried to conquer it by venturing into the wood and remaining there until she had to leave. Spring had come and gone, now the days grew longer and warmer. She had missed days like this, where the warm summer wind whistled through the trees. Soon she would be two years old and though she had lost her mother and father, she had gained a friend and an aunt. They were important to her and invaluable to her survival. Still, she wished for more.

Aurelia was better now with the help of Alecto and Kylar. She could do things for herself, but she knew she would never be in a place where she didn't need any help. At least she wasn't alone, starving to death in the woods. She wanted more from life... but at least... at least she wasn't that girl anymore.

She continued through the forest, stopping for a moment when she noticed something was off. Her ears began twitching and she heard the paw steps before she felt them. Aurelia shifted, turning in the direction they were coming from. The wind was not in her favor so she could not scent the wolf easily from the direction they were approaching. Her heart began to beat quickly in her chest, but she didn't run.

She should have.

"It's great to see you again."

At once, her blood ran cold. Aurelia felt like her heart went form beating too fast, to not at all. She turned to face him immediately, her tail tucking between her legs instintively.

"Get away from me. Now." There was no question in her voice. She commanded him. As frightened as she was, she was furious with what she had allowed last time. She couldn't believe he had the guts to try and talk to her after what he'd done. He was truly a monster, if she ever knew one.

The brute chuckled at her demand, as if she could command him to do anything. He clicked his tongue, three times as his crimson orbed closed for a second before reopening to the sight of her. With the final click of his tongue he spoke, "I believe you don't get to tell me what to do here." As much as he wanted to end her miserable life right here, he wanted to pick on his prey a little more. To see if she would attempt to fight or snap back at him. But he begun to pace around her, taking slow strides around her frame. His voice was low and hoarse, as he tried to under her skin. Looking at her bit by bit, Kassian wouldn't say he was admiring her, more like taking in what he'd soon destroy. Just thoughts pacing through his troubled thoughts, did he want to grab a hold of her throat? go for her face? He licked his lips and bared his slightly yellow tinted teeth.

"I've come to finish the job, unless you want to have a little fun first?" He chuckled, stepping toward her side and grazing against her roughly. As he wasn't a gentle giant, more like a beast who was willing to slaughter the beauty. Watching her expressions and waiting to her what she has to say. It has been a while since he has touched a female, felt one. He couldn't say it was consensual, he was willing to take whatever he wanted with blood. He knew his parents wouldn't be proud with the route he is going down, he knew his sister wasn't. With all due respect, Kassian didn't feel anything but the enjoyment he felt for tearing apart innocent wolves. Gave him something back.

To Aurelia he wanted to cause more damage, give her nothing left to lose.

Aurelia had not been foolish enough to think her demands would be met, though perhaps a sliver of hope had been vanquished somewhere inside her with his cold words. Finish the job? The woman stared warily in his direction, her silver fur standing end as her blood ran cold. "What does that even mean? What job? Who are you?" She was certain she didn't know this man, and that she had done nothing to warrant his attack, much less a repeat offence.

Her heart pounded. She would die before that happened.

After he spoke, she angled her ears towards his voice, but he quickly moved in her direction. The blood pounding in her ears had made for an annoying distraction and as he brushed his body against hers, she froze.

But she had to move. She hopped away from him, and her head was angled towards him while her hips swayed away. Her silver, unfocused eyes lingered on him. "Do not touch me."

This time, her lips peeled back and all the fur on her body lifted. She was nowhere near his size, and nowhere near as capable, but she would fight to the death before she let him have her once more.

The male glared her down, his tongue scraping his yellow tinted teeth. "What does that even mean? What job? Who are you?" Kassian knew she couldn't see him, but he smirked in a mock toward her. Holding his head high, his lips peeled apart. "To slaughter you of course..are you going to fight this time or cower like a bitch that you are?" He laughed, it was deep and loud, twisted as anyone can hear the pure evil that spat from his lungs. Until her body rushed away, he could hear her breathing hiking up. His laugh had vanished as his crimson eye watched her as she spoke aggressively toward him. Kassian at this time was toying with her, like a shy little girl who the bully likes to torment. He ate up her fear, feeding off it as it gave him more power. Until her lips pulled back willing to fight back to a beast she doesn't know or see. It was like she was fighting a ghost.

"Do not touch me." Kassian stood silent only for a moment before he stepped toward her. His paws crunching the leaves and sticks below him. He chuckled breaking the silence he welcomed. "You think i will listen to your demands?" Taking a step closer, he spoke again. "You don't know me, my name, therefore i will do anything i want to you-" He retorted, his voice harsh and bitter. "If i want to tear out your throat and feed it to those who take care of you. I fucking will." Knowing with how delicate she was, being blind, she does not make it through this world- alone. Being at a reasonable distance, the beast stood there waiting to see if the female before him would attempt to inflict any damage. As his words might've dug deep and crawled under her skin. He was going to make her remember him, know him, fear him.

She was going to remember the beast.

"To slaughter you of course..."

Aurelia stared blankly ahead, her head spinning as all other words faded out. She was frozen with the shock of it.

What had she done to deserve this? He had spoken in a way that made it seem like she should have have known this was coming; like she should have expected it. She had never met this man before that night. Why..."Why?"

The girl took a step back, her ears folding as her brave demeanor folded easily. "I haven't done anything to you. Just let me go, please." she said, bowing her head slightly as she took a submissive posture. She wasn't sure what else to do. She couldn't turn and flee; the forest around them would stop her before she could get far enough away that she could not be caught. All she could do was beg for her life.

If it came to it, she would fight, because that was all she had left... but she knew she would lose.

He was so much larger and stronger than her; she would not be able to fend him off for long. They both knew that.

Kylar did not enjoy leaving Aurelia alone. It was rare for her to allow the girl to go off but, as she often had to remind herself, she was not the girl’s mother. She was only an aunt and—while Aurelia’s only blood family at current—Kylar lacked authority. All she could do was train the girl and bolster her confidence whilst instilling caution. It was a tentative balance, one that Kylar struggled to maintain. Often, she tipped the scales too far. Aurelia, bless her heart, was forgiving. Starved for affection, she seemed not to despise the attention. There would come a day, however, when she’d need to stop.

Still, it was maddening to be away from her.

“I’ll just go check up on her,” the tan wolf mumbled as she began to turn her paws toward Aurelia’s scent.

“Aurelia!?” Her niece’s name was pulled from her lips as she saw the maiden cowering there, shivering beneath the weight of a one-eyed beast. The man’s very visage was predatory. He stalked forward like a looming monster that had coalesced from the ruffage.

Lurching forward, Kylar’s lip curled, her ruby gaze narrowing to daggers. For once, she forgot her crippled leg. There were more pressing matters.

Kassian could almost feel himself eating up her fear, "Why?" Her voice tumbled over itself, his lip curls up into a smirk. Before speaking he let the troubled women finish her line. She took a step back, but yet Kassian closed in the distance once more while she spoke. Taking the step lightly so she couldn't tell. "I haven't done anything to you. Just let me go, please." He chuckled right at the instance she pleaded, spitting at the ground she stood on. "Where is the fun in that?" He said, in almost a teasing manner. Kassian felt nothing for females, or anyone in particular. He rose his head up to the sky as his muzzle was still bent down toward her. "I will make you mine you cowering bitch." He yelled, anger boiling up in his stomach even if she had done nothing wrong.

Before he could open his maw once more to inflict emotional damage, and build himself up to cause physical damage. He heard someone approaching and yell out the females name. "Aurelia.." he spoke quietly, "You have a visitor" He grinned, before turning his entire body toward the female approaching. She was showing no sign of fear for herself, his crimson eye pierced right back her. As he felt her eyes on him, her lip curled and he just continued to grin with a twisted sense to it. Before his mouth opened and his teeth bared, his tongue sliding across the sharp edges of his teeth. "Kind you to join us, lucky for your friend here, she won't be rotting alone." He tilted his head and winked toward the female that had approached.

He wanted her to fight him, but he looked at the corner of his lonesome eye to make sure that Aurelia hadn't moved from his side. Once she moves, his teeth would sink into her flesh. But that was only if she moves, but his vision flicks back to Kylar. His eye almost begging for her to move even closer.

It only relied on time.

The man kept closing in on her, she could not keep distance between them. She felt her skin crawling at just the thought of him touching her again. Fear gripped her limbs and her blindness held her there as he breathed down on her. Fun? How could anyone think this was fun? She couldn't comprehend this man and his atrocious behavior.

A moment passed and she closed her eyes, cringing against the silence that she was sure was to be followed with his crushing jaws around her neck.

Then she heard another voice.

The silver woman's eyes snapped open as recognition filled her gaze. "Kylar?!" she gasped, searching for her aunt desperately. At once, terror filled her. She looked toward the man and felt nauseated when he said her name, but when his attention shifted to Kylar she was filled with rage. "NO!" she shouted, moving forward and pushing against him. A feeble attempt to gain his full attention if only to save her aunt.

"Leave her alone. You don't want her. You want me, don't you?"

She lifted her chin, muzzle hitting his jaw on accident. Her ears flattened against her skull and she felt sick to her stomach being so close. "Let's just go," she begged him.

Aurelia didn't know what else to do. She would rather give herself to this man than put Kylar in danger for even a single second. She knew what he was capable of and yet for all his talk of murder, he'd not yet killed her. He could have easily killed her all those months ago and he hadn't. There must be a reason for that, and even if she did go away with him and he did kill her... at least Kylar would still be safe from him.

Ruby eyes met those of a kindred color—and though Kylar would have wretched at the mere idea of being similar to this monster, their gaze was not so different. One was cool and twisted, a macabre sort of stare that oozed through the flesh and sank into the bone. The other was a blazing fire, the woman's passion so selfless and inspired by unadulterated rage that her very body quivered. And yet—both held a murderous intent glinting beneath the surface. Before this moment, had the crippled knight been asked: "is it okay to kill?", she would have vehemently said no. Such high morality was a vanity here, however, for it was kill or be killed.

No... it was worse. If she failed, she would watch her precious niece fall prey to this depraved beast.

Kylar snarled, anger coursing through her veins. Fear pooled in her belly, and with it came the cold grip of conviction. She knew the price of failure, and already she could taste it upon her tongue.

...

Aurelia screeched before throwing her body against the beast. The maiden was so pitifully small, however, that the man appeared to absorb the blow rather than be phased by it. Horrified, Kylar began to lurch forward, forcing her weight upon her wounded leg and wincing with every feverish step. Her eyes fixed upon the beast's face though her ears heard Aurelia's selfless, idiotic, dumbass comment.

Fangs bared, Kylar threw herself into the beast as well, aiming to disorient him whilst he (likely) gloated over Aurelia's sudden willingness to become his bed-slave.

No matter her success, she would snap her teeth at Aurelia, bellowing: "GO!" before struggling to find her balance in order to run with Aurelia.

- exit Kylar (open to suffering flesh wounds) -
